Spanish low-cost airline Vueling has announced a major expansion of its flight program to Morocco, unveiling new direct routes to Nador, Fes, Marrakech and Tangier as part of its international growth strategy.
This move aims to strengthen air connectivity between several Spanish airports and Morocco, a market Vueling considers a strategic priority for future development.
New Routes from Barcelona to Nador and Fes
Among the key additions, Vueling will launch direct flights from Barcelona to Nador and Fes. The Nador route will operate on a regular basis, with increased frequencies during the peak summer season.
The new Barcelona–Fes service will improve access to Morocco’s spiritual capital and bring the total number of Moroccan destinations served by Vueling from Barcelona to five.
Expanded Connectivity from Other Spanish Airports
Vueling is also reinforcing its regional Spanish bases to further expand its presence in the Moroccan market.
- Santiago de Compostela: Launch of a new direct route to Marrakech
- Alicante: New direct connection to Tangier
- Barcelona–Agadir: Route maintained year-round
These additions enhance travel options for tourists, business travelers and members of the Moroccan diaspora, while supporting stronger economic and tourism exchanges between Morocco and Spain.
Morocco at the Heart of Vueling’s Growth Strategy
With this ambitious expansion, Vueling reaffirms Morocco’s importance within its international network, positioning the Kingdom as a key Mediterranean hub.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered near Barcelona at El Prat de Llobregat Airport, Vueling Airlines is one of Europe’s leading low-cost carriers, operating an extensive network across Europe and the Mediterranean region.
