Igamane Wears No.7: Morocco Reveal Squad Numbers for AFCON 2025

The Moroccan national team has officially confirmed the shirt numbers its players will wear at the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, which will be hosted in Morocco from December 21 to January 18.

As tournament hosts, the Atlas Lions will compete in Group A, alongside Comoros, Mali, and Zambia. Morocco will open its campaign against Comoros on Sunday evening, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 pm local time.

Squad Numbers by Position

In goal, Yassine Bounou keeps the iconic No.1 shirt, supported by Munir El Kajoui wearing No.12 and Mehdi Lahrar with No.22, providing experience and depth between the posts.

The defensive line features Achraf Hakimi in his usual No.2, alongside Noussair Mazraoui (No.3), Nayef Aguerd (No.5), Romain Saïss (No.6), Mohamed Chibi (No.15), Jawad El Yamiq (No.18), Adam Masina (No.25), Anass Salah-Eddine (No.26), and Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal (No.27).

In midfield, Sofyan Amrabat wears No.4, with Azzedine Ounahi taking No.8. Ismael Saibari (No.11), Eliesse Ben Seghir (No.13), Osama Tergalline (No.14), Bilal El Khannouss (No.23), and Neil El Aynaoui (No.24) complete a dynamic central unit.

Up front, Brahim Diaz will wear the prestigious No.10, while Sofiane Rahimi leads the line with No.9. Youssef En-Nesyri (No.19), Ayoub El Kaabi (No.20), Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (No.17), Ilias Akhomach (No.16), and Chemsdine Talbi (No.21) provide attacking depth and versatility.

Reserve Players Named

Head coach Walid Regragui has also named Hamza Igamane, who will wear No.7, and Youssef Belammari (No.28) as reserve players, ready to step in should the tournament situation require reinforcements.

With squad numbers now confirmed, Morocco enters AFCON 2025 with a balanced blend of leadership and youth, aiming to make a deep run on home soil in front of its supporters.
