Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will inaugurate a historic nonstop link between Casablanca and Los Angeles, starting 7 June 2026, the first direct connection between Africa and the U.S. Pacific Coast. Tickets go on sale from Thursday, 4 December 2025.
Three weekly flights on Boeing 787 Dreamliner
The service will operate three times a week (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) using RAM’s modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, offering long-haul comfort, advanced in-flight entertainment and improved fuel efficiency. Flight times are scheduled to provide convenient overnight travel in both directions:
- Casablanca → Los Angeles — Depart 04:00, arrive 08:20 (local)
- Los Angeles → Casablanca — Depart 10:20, arrive 05:25 (+1 day, local)
Why this route matters
RAM says the new nonstop route responds to growing demand from Moroccan and African diasporas, American tourists, business travellers and football fans headed to major events such as the FIFA World Cup 2026. According to CEO Hamid Addou, the Casablanca–Los Angeles link is “a historic milestone” that strengthens Africa’s long-haul connectivity and raises Morocco’s profile on the U.S. West Coast.

Expected benefits
Besides direct travel convenience, RAM expects the new route to boost tourism flows to Morocco from key U.S. leisure markets, facilitate business links and provide an extra travel option for fans and travellers attending global events in North America. The nonstop connection—about 12 hours in flight time—also signals RAM’s ambition to expand its long-haul network and position Casablanca as a strategic intercontinental hub.
