Morocco Strengthens Its Position on the Indian Tourism Market at OTM 2026Morocco is participating for the third consecutive year in the OTM Outbound Travel Market, one of Asia’s leading exhibitions dedicated to outbound tourism. The 2026 edition, currently taking place in Mumbai, brings together more than 2,100 exhibitors from over 60 countries and welcomes around 50,000 travel professionals, making it a strategic gateway to the fast-growing Indian travel market.

A Strong Moroccan Presence Led by ONMT

On this occasion, the Office National Marocain du Tourisme has set up a 200 m² immersive stand showcasing Morocco’s cultural heritage, tourism diversity, and travel expertise. Nine Moroccan inbound travel agencies are also taking part, using OTM 2026 as a platform to strengthen partnerships and promote Morocco as a premium long-haul destination for Indian and Asian travelers.

India, a High-Potential Market for Moroccan Tourism

Morocco’s participation comes amid strong growth in Indian arrivals. In 2025, the Kingdom welcomed 53,697 Indian tourists, up 31% from 2024 and 224% compared to 2019. With Indian travelers spending $31.7 billion abroad in 2024 and outbound trips expected to reach 80–90 million annually, Morocco aims to firmly position itself on this high-potential market.
