Expanding the Skies: Discover Airlines Announces New Direct Routes to Agadir and Fez

Discover Airlines is set to significantly boost its Moroccan network for the winter 2026/27 season. Beginning in October 2026, the carrier will launch a twice-weekly service from Frankfurt to Agadir and the only nonstop connection between Munich and the imperial city of Fez. This expansion, following a strategic partnership signed at ITB Berlin, brings the airline’s total weekly flights to Morocco to a record-breaking 16.

In a major win for European travelers, Discover Airlines has announced a significant expansion of its Moroccan flight program for the winter 2026/27 season. The leisure carrier, part of the Lufthansa Group, will introduce two brand-new routes starting in late October 2026, connecting major German hubs directly to Morocco’s Atlantic coast and its cultural heartland.

Route Update: The new schedule features twice-weekly flights from Frankfurt to Agadir and the only direct connection currently available between Munich and Fez. Both routes are scheduled to run through March 2027.

New Winter 2026/27 Flight Schedule

The expansion is the result of a reinforced partnership between Discover Airlines and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), formalized during the ITB Berlin trade fair in March 2026. This growth addresses the surging demand for North African destinations as stable winter alternatives to the Canary Islands.

Why These Routes Matter

The Munich-Fez route is particularly noteworthy as it provides the only nonstop link between the Bavarian capital and the UNESCO-listed Medina of Fez. Meanwhile, the Frankfurt-Agadir service caters to the growing “winter sun” market, offering easy access to the beaches of Taghazout and the nearby Souss-Massa National Park.

Flight Experience: Flights on these routes are typically operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft, with a flight time of approximately four hours. Morning departures from Germany ensure travelers arrive in Morocco by midday.

With a total of 16 weekly connections across three Moroccan destinations (Agadir, Fez, and Marrakech), Discover Airlines is now operating its largest-ever program in the Kingdom, providing unparalleled flexibility for both individual travelers and major tour operators.
