According to a study published by nPerf, based on mobile download speeds recorded between January and December 2025, Morocco stands out as Africa’s second best-connected country for streaming, highlighting its growing digital leadership.

The ranking places Tunisia first with an average mobile download speed of 62.6 Mb/s, followed closely by Morocco at 52.5 Mb/s. These performance levels allow fans to stream AFCON matches smoothly, with stable connections and high-definition video quality.
Senegal completes the podium with 29.5 Mb/s, while Benin and South Africa follow with average speeds around 24 Mb/s. Further down the list, countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Egypt and DR Congo record lower speeds, which can impact live streaming quality.

Mobile internet speed directly affects streaming performance. High speeds enable Full HD and even 4K viewing, while slower networks often result in buffering, reduced resolution and frequent interruptions.
