Morocco continues to strengthen its appeal on the South American travel market, with Brazilian tourist arrivals recording a significant increase of 35% in 2025, according to official tourism data.
Figures released by the Moroccan National Tourist Office show that 54,475 Brazilian visitors traveled to the Kingdom in 2025, compared to 40,277 in 2024 and 37,750 in 2023. This performance exceeds pre-pandemic levels, as 47,113 Brazilian tourists visited Morocco in 2019.
Direct Air Connectivity Driving Growth
This strong upward trend is largely attributed to the relaunch of the direct Casablanca–São Paulo air route by Royal Air Maroc more than a year ago. Currently operating four weekly flights, the connection has significantly improved accessibility between Morocco and Brazil, boosting leisure and business travel alike.
Improved air connectivity has played a decisive role in reinforcing Morocco’s positioning as an attractive destination for long-haul travelers from Latin America.
Positive End-of-Year Performance
The growth momentum was also confirmed at the end of the year. In December 2025 alone, Morocco welcomed 4,496 Brazilian tourists, representing a 14% increase compared to December 2023, when 3,941 visitors were recorded.
This sustained performance highlights the growing interest of Brazilian travelers in Morocco’s cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and expanding tourism infrastructure.
Sharp Increase in Overnight Stays
In terms of overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments, the Brazilian market generated 84,228 overnight stays in 2025, up from 57,423 the previous year, marking a robust growth of 47%.
This rise reflects not only higher visitor numbers but also longer stays, reinforcing the economic impact of the Brazilian market on Morocco’s tourism sector.
Morocco Nears the 20 Million Tourist Milestone
More broadly, Morocco welcomed 19.8 million tourists in 2025, an increase of 14% compared to 2024. This record-breaking figure brings the Kingdom closer than ever to the symbolic threshold of 20 million visitors.
The results confirm the strength of Morocco’s tourism recovery and further establish tourism as a key pillar of the national economy.
