Morocco continues to upgrade its transport infrastructure as part of a broader push to improve the visitor experience. The Office National Des Aéroports (ONDA) has announced a set of concrete measures aimed at strengthening ground connectivity at Rabat-Salé Airport, a key gateway for international and domestic travelers.
These improvements fall under the national “Airports 2030” strategy and are designed to better manage rising passenger flows, particularly as Morocco prepares to host major continental football events in the coming months.
More Frequent Shuttle Buses to the City Center
One of the most visible upgrades concerns airport-to-city transport. Bus shuttle services linking Rabat-Salé Airport to central Rabat have been significantly reinforced. Departures are now scheduled every 15 minutes, reducing waiting times and offering passengers a more predictable transfer option.
The fare has been set at a flat rate of 25 dirhams, making it an affordable solution for both residents and visitors. In line with international standards, passengers can now pay directly by bank card, eliminating the need for cash and speeding up boarding times.
Digital Solution Introduced for Airport Taxis
In parallel, ONDA has rolled out a new digital system for taxis operating at the airport. This solution is intended to streamline taxi access, improve transparency, and reduce congestion at pick-up zones. By modernizing taxi management, the airport aims to ensure smoother passenger flows during peak arrival periods.

These measures are not isolated actions but part of a long-term vision to modernize Morocco’s airports and align them with global mobility standards.
