Sefrou has officially launched its Provincial Tourism Council (CPT), strengthening governance of its local tourism sector. The initiative, introduced under the umbrella of the Regional Tourism Council of Fès–Meknès, aims to better organize and promote the province’s natural and cultural assets.
The new council brings together local professionals from hotels, guesthouses, rural lodges, restaurants, and tourism services. Its objective is to unify efforts, improve coordination, and enhance the visibility of Sefrou within the regional tourism landscape.
By structuring its tourism ecosystem, Sefrou seeks to position itself as a complementary destination to Fès, highlighting authenticity, rural experiences, and heritage. The CPT is expected to support marketing initiatives, improve service quality, and stimulate local investment.
With this move, Sefrou signals its determination to transform tourism into a stronger lever for sustainable local development.
