Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced the launch of two weekly rotations between Copenhagen and Marrakech for its winter 2025–2026 program. This new route marks a milestone in connecting Scandinavia with Morocco’s top tourist destinations, offering travelers easier access to the Red City’s warmth and vibrant culture during Europe’s colder months.

Strengthening Air Links Between Denmark and Morocco

With the inclusion of Marrakech in SAS’s winter schedule, Morocco continues to strengthen its position as a leading North African destination for Nordic travelers. The flights, scheduled from October 2025 through March 2026, will serve both leisure and business passengers, providing a convenient gateway to southern Morocco’s historical treasures and desert landscapes.

A Boost for Morocco’s Tourism Strategy

This announcement complements recent aviation milestones such as Delta’s first direct flight from Atlanta to Marrakech, signaling growing international interest in Morocco’s tourism sector.
The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has been actively promoting the country across Europe, and SAS’s new link will enhance winter arrivals, supporting hotels, riads, and local businesses across Marrakech.

Scandinavian Travelers Discover the Red City

Known for its bustling souks, exquisite gastronomy, and desert excursions, Marrakech remains one of Morocco’s most magnetic destinations. The SAS route will allow Scandinavian visitors to explore the city’s culture and craftsmanship more easily, reinforcing Morocco’s goal of welcoming 26 million tourists by 2030.
