Royal Air Maroc (RAM) continues to distinguish itself as one of the most reliable airlines in Europe, outperforming major competitors with outstanding punctuality on flights departing from Paris. While many carriers struggle with rising delays across European airports, RAM stands out as the most punctual airline operating between Paris and Morocco.

A Three-Year Study Confirms RAM’s Dominance

The ranking comes from an extensive study conducted by Le Parisien in collaboration with the German passenger-rights company Flightright. The analysis covered thousands of flights over the last three years, focusing on arrivals delayed by at least 15 minutes.

The results place Royal Air Maroc at the top of all airlines operating between Paris and Moroccan destinations. This exceptional performance demonstrates RAM’s consistency at a time when punctuality has become increasingly rare in European aviation.

Why Royal Air Maroc Outperforms the Competition

According to experts cited by Le Parisien, RAM’s strong performance is the result of superior operational organization within Moroccan airports. The national carrier benefits from dedicated teams overseeing:

  • aircraft ground handling
  • baggage operations
  • runway assistance
  • overall ground coordination

This streamlined structure provides Royal Air Maroc with a significant competitive advantage over airlines operating from congested European hubs, where logistical challenges are far more complex.

Aviation expert Xavier Tytelman explains that RAM’s domestic operational environment allows for smoother traffic flow, contributing directly to its reliability.

European Delays Reach Critical Levels

The contrast with Europe is striking. According to Eurocontrol, around 90% of delays in Europe in 2024 were caused by external factors such as:

  • weather disruptions
  • air traffic control restrictions
  • airport congestion

France is one of the most affected countries, recording over 7.4 million minutes of accumulated delays in 2023. This environment makes RAM’s punctuality even more notable.

What This Means for Passengers

European regulations allow passengers delayed by more than three hours to claim compensation. However, the rising volume of claims has led to longer processing times, especially among low-cost carriers that often fail to respond promptly.

To reduce the pressure on courts, mandatory mediation will be introduced starting February 2026 for compensation cases. However, experts warn this could further extend waiting times for affected passengers.

RAM’s Punctuality Strengthens Morocco’s Aviation Image

Royal Air Maroc’s leadership in punctuality strengthens Morocco’s aviation reputation and reassures passengers traveling between France and North Africa. As European airports continue to face structural challenges, RAM’s strong operational control positions it as a dependable and customer-focused airline in the region.

With exceptional on-time performance, organized ground operations, and fewer systemic disruptions, Royal Air Maroc has established itself as the most reliable airline serving Paris–Morocco routes.
