The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Air Transat have officially announced the launch of the first direct flight between Montreal and Agadir, set to begin in June 2026. This strategic partnership marks a new milestone in connecting Canada with southern Morocco, further strengthening the Kingdom’s international air connectivity and tourism ambitions.
Bridging Canada and Morocco’s Atlantic Coast
This new route will operate weekly during the summer season, linking Montréal–Trudeau International Airport with Agadir Al Massira Airport. For travelers from Quebec and across Canada, the direct connection will offer an easy gateway to Morocco’s Atlantic coast, known for its beaches, surf culture, and dynamic hospitality sector.
ONMT’s Strategy to Diversify International Tourism
Through this partnership, the ONMT continues its mission to diversify tourism markets and promote destinations beyond Marrakech and Casablanca. The Montreal–Agadir line aims to attract a growing number of Canadian tourists seeking authentic Moroccan experiences, from the Souss-Massa region’s eco-tourism landscapes to Agadir’s luxury resorts and seaside attractions.
