Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has delivered excellent news regarding striker Hamza Igamane ahead of the
AFCON 2025 quarterfinal clash against Cameroon. The forward, who has been sidelined since December with an
adductor injury, is now fully fit and ready to return to action.

Igamane has been one of Morocco’s key attacking assets this season, scoring nine goals in 18 appearances
across all competitions with LOSC. His absence was felt during the early stages of the Africa Cup of Nations,
but his return could significantly boost the Lions of the Atlas at a decisive moment of the tournament.

Regragui Confirms Igamane’s Full Recovery

Speaking during a press conference, Walid Regragui confirmed that the Moroccan international has completed his
recovery and is now available for selection.

“We are getting Hamza back. He was ready to come on during the match against Tanzania, but we didn’t have the
opportunity to give him minutes. Now, with the extra four to five days that have passed, he is back at 100%,”
Regragui said.

This announcement comes as a major boost for Morocco ahead of Friday’s quarterfinal against Cameroon, a match
expected to be highly intense. Igamane’s pace, movement, and goal-scoring ability could prove decisive as the
