With just two days remaining before the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final between Morocco and Nigeria, Azzedine Ounahi has provided an encouraging update regarding his fitness status. According to lesiteinfo.com, The Moroccan midfielder confirmed that he is working tirelessly to recover from the injury sustained ahead of the match against Tanzania, with the clear objective of being available either for the semi-final or a potential final should Morocco progress. “My condition is improving. I am following an intensive rehabilitation program to be ready for the semi-final or the final,”  Ounahi said, expressing optimism about his chances of returning to action.

Initial Medical Assessment

Earlier in the tournament,the Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced that medical examinations had revealed a muscle injury in Ounahi’s leg. The federation subsequently ruled him out for the remainder of the competition, while placing him under a specific treatment and rehabilitation protocol.

Despite the initial prognosis, the Moroccan international has now broken his silence and insisted that he is preparing intensively in order to be fit for the final stages of the tournament.
