Opening Ceremony Details Confirmed by Organizers

The organizing committee of AFCON 2025 has officially announced the date and time of the tournament’s opening ceremony. The event will take place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 6:30 PM, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the capital city of Rabat.

The opening ceremony will precede the first match of the tournament, which will see Morocco face Comoros in the opening fixture of the group stage.

Stadium Gates Open Early

The organizing committee has called on football fans attending both the opening ceremony and the match to arrive early at the stadium. Stadium gates will open from 2:00 PM, allowing enough time for security checks and smooth access.

Supporters have also been urged to respect organizational and security instructions to ensure the event runs under optimal conditions, as Morocco officially launches the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.
