Marrakech is beginning February under encouraging conditions, according to tourism professionals. Data reported by TelQuel shows that Marrakech-Menara Airport is set to receive 685 inbound flights during the first week of the month, confirming the city’s strong appeal on international markets.

The scheduled flights represent a total capacity of 126,957 seats, with an estimated 108,040 passengers expected to arrive. These figures point to high occupancy rates and sustained demand, particularly from European source markets, at a time when Marrakech traditionally attracts winter travelers.

European Markets Remain Key Drivers

The city’s traditional source markets continue to dominate arrivals. France leads the way with 32,162 tourists arriving on 200 flights. The United Kingdom follows with 14,954 visitors across 92 flights, while Spain ranks third with 13,915 tourists on 88 flights. Italy also maintains a solid presence, contributing 9,901 passengers on 61 flights.

Ryanair Tops Weekly Airline Traffic

On the airline side, Ryanair emerges as the leading carrier during this period, transporting 34,615 passengers through 215 flights. The airline’s strong performance highlights the importance of low-cost connectivity in supporting Marrakech’s tourism growth and sustaining high traffic volumes at the start of the year.

Overall, the figures confirm a promising start to February for Marrakech, reinforcing its status as one of Morocco’s most dynamic tourism hubs.
