2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco

The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will take place in
Morocco from 17 October to 8 November 2025. This ninth edition is historic:
the first-ever FIFA women’s youth World Cup held in Africa, the
first with 24 teams, and the first to be staged annually.
Morocco will also host every edition through 2029, cementing its place as
the heart of women’s youth football.

Morocco Becomes the Heart of Women’s Football

FIFA confirmed Morocco’s hosting rights on 14 March 2024 during a Council meeting in Zurich.
With world-class infrastructure like the Mohammed VI Football Academy,
rising investment in women’s sports, and its role as a 2030 FIFA World Cup co-host,
Morocco is ready to deliver a landmark tournament.

Tournament Dates and Venues

The competition will be staged from 17 October to 8 November 2025, in
Rabat and Salé. All matches are concentrated in the capital region,
creating a vibrant football atmosphere.

Prince Héritier Moulay el-Hassan Sports Complex (Rabat) – 22,000 seats

Olympic Stadium Annex, Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex (Rabat) – 21,000 seats

Mohammed VI Football Academy (Salé) – 3 professional pitches

Expanded Format: 24 Teams Annually

Starting in 2025, the tournament expands from 16 to 24 teams and will be
staged every year instead of biennially.

On 31 July 2025, FIFA confirmed 18 referees and
36 assistant referees from all six confederations.

A new tournament brand identity was launched on 2 June 2025.
The emblem integrates a stylized “U17,” where the negative space in the “U” forms a trophy,
symbolizing unity, youth, and Morocco’s role as host.
