Marrakech-Menara Airport Surpasses 10 Million Passengers in 2025

Marrakech-Menara International Airport reached a historic milestone in 2025, welcoming more than 10 million passengers for the first time, according to figures released by the National Airports Office (ONDA). The airport handled 10,197,736 travelers, marking a 10.09% increase compared to 2024, when traffic stood at 9,263,261 passengers.

This strong performance confirms the airport’s growing importance as a key gateway for both national and international tourism. Marrakech-Menara now accounts for 28% of Morocco’s total air traffic, ranking second nationwide behind Casablanca Mohammed V Airport (32%) and ahead of Agadir Airport (10%). The momentum continued through the end of the year, with December 2025 alone recording 899,645 passengers, up 10.22% year-on-year.

A Strategic Hub for Tourism and Connectivity

The record figures underline Marrakech-Menara’s central role in supporting Morocco’s tourism sector. As one of the country’s most visited cities, Marrakech benefits from sustained growth in air connectivity, reinforcing its appeal to international visitors and its position as a leading tourist destination.

The data also highlights the airport’s expanding international reach. Among the busiest international routes in 2025, Marrakech–Paris Orly topped the list with 69,052 passengers, representing 2.45% of total traffic. Other heavily used routes included Casablanca–Paris Orly, Casablanca–Jeddah, Casablanca–Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Marrakech–London Gatwick.

International Routes Drive Growth

These figures reflect Marrakech’s increasing attractiveness, particularly among European and Middle Eastern travelers. Strong demand on routes linking Morocco to France, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia underscores the importance of air travel in connecting Marrakech to key tourism and pilgrimage markets.

With traffic growth exceeding 10% and passenger numbers reaching new highs, Marrakech-Menara Airport continues to strengthen its role as a strategic aviation hub, supporting Morocco’s broader ambitions in tourism, connectivity, and international travel.
