Morocco is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Green March with an event that blends history, unity, and adventure, a motorcycle rally stretching from Rabat to Guerguerat, near the southern border.
This special edition pays tribute to the historic 1975 march that reaffirmed Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces. Riders from across the Kingdom — and international guests — will cross thousands of kilometers through cities, deserts, and coastlines, tracing a route that symbolizes connection and continuity.
More than a sporting event, the rally serves as a mobile commemoration. From the capital’s avenues to the dunes of Dakhla, participants will experience the full geography of Morocco, uniting north and south under one national rhythm. Stops along the route include community events, cultural exhibitions, and symbolic ceremonies reflecting Morocco’s commitment to peace, development, and identity.
The rally complements other national activities marking the Green March’s golden jubilee, such as the Raid Tanja–Lagouira and symbolic torch relays. Together, they turn remembrance into motion, transforming memory into movement.
As Morocco looks toward the future, this two-wheeled tribute captures a message that resonates beyond borders: heritage can travel forward, and the spirit of the Green March continues to ride strong on Moroccan roads.
