Speaking Tuesday in Salé, Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate for the Budget and President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, urged greater dialogue and coordination between public and private stakeholders from the countries hosting the FIFA World Cup 2030.
Opening the Morocco–Spain–Portugal Business Forum on World Cup 2030, organized by CGEM, Spain’s CEOE, and Portugal’s CIP, Lekjaa stressed that consultation helps pool expertise, share best practices, and create lasting value. He described the World Cup as a unifying project for youth, cooperation, and innovation, rooted in long-standing cultural and economic complementarities.
Lekjaa highlighted the logistical and security challenges of a multi-country tournament with high mobility, calling for permanent coordination and harmonized systems. He underlined the central role of companies of all sizes, from infrastructure builders to ticketing and security providers, in ensuring success. Citing the exceptional organization of CAN Morocco 2025, he said the Kingdom’s experience proves its readiness to deliver complex, high-impact events with lasting economic and social benefits.
