According to FIFA, the third phase of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup generated five million requests within the first day. Fans from more than 200 countries and territories applied through FIFA’s official ticketing platform.
The early demand reflects strong anticipation for high-profile group-stage clashes across host cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Morocco vs Brazil draws global attention
The most requested match so far is Colombia vs Portugal, scheduled in Miami on June 27. Close behind is the highly anticipated Brazil vs Morocco fixture, set for June 13 in the New York–New Jersey area.

Who is buying World Cup 2026 tickets?
After the three host nations, the highest number of ticket requests came from Colombia, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Scotland, Germany, Australia, France, and Panama.
FIFA also noted particularly strong interest from South American and Central American fans, as well as from Scottish supporters attending their first World Cup in 28 years.

The random selection phase remains open until January 13 at 17:00 CET. FIFA stressed that the timing of the request does not affect the chances of being selected.
