A Portuguese Tactical Analyst Linked to Morocco
Portuguese coach João Sacramento has emerged as one of the main candidates to join the technical staff of Morocco’s new national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi. The 37 year old coach is known for his work as a tactical analyst and assistant coach across several European clubs.
Sacramento began his football journey in the youth teams of Sporting Braga before turning to tactical analysis and coaching. Over the years he developed a strong reputation for his analytical approach and tactical flexibility.
Experience with Top European Coaches
During his career, Sacramento worked alongside several prominent managers. He collaborated with José Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur and also worked with Leonardo Jardim at AS Monaco.
He later served as assistant coach at Lille, AS Roma, and Paris Saint Germain under Christophe Galtier, while also gaining experience in Qatar with Al Duhail.
A Profile with International Experience
In 2025 Sacramento became technical director of Austrian club LASK on a contract running until 2027. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, he brings an international profile that could fit well within Morocco’s national team project.
If confirmed, his arrival would strengthen Mohamed Ouahbi’s staff as Morocco prepares for its upcoming international challenges.
