The Atlas Lions have officially begun their AFCON 2025 preparation this Saturday at the Mohammed VI Football Centre in Rabat. This marks the first stage of Morocco’s build-up ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom will host starting December 21.
First players arrive at Mohammed VI Football Centre
The first players called up by head coach Walid Regragui arrived on Saturday, in line with the national team’s preparation schedule. The gathering officially launches Morocco’s campaign ahead of the continental tournament.
All selected players are expected to join the group by Sunday, except those still involved in club duties. Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Noussair Mazraoui, and Neil El Aynaoui will complete the squad after their respective club matches on Monday evening.
Training schedule and technical program
Collective training sessions will officially start on Monday at the Mohammed VI Centre. The technical staff will implement a structured physical and tactical program designed to prepare the squad for AFCON 2025.
This preparation phase focuses on cohesion, match rhythm, and tactical clarity ahead of Morocco’s opening fixture.
