Understanding the Requirement
As Morocco prepares for AFCON 2025, supporters from Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia will follow a temporary entry procedure. During the tournament period, these visitors must obtain a Printed Electronic Travel Authorisation (AEVM) before arriving in the country.
The AEVM is designed to keep travel smooth at a time when airports and borders will see exceptional movement. Rather than adding complexity, it aligns the travel experience with the flow of a major continental event, allowing fans to move confidently between stadiums, host cities and celebrations.
The requirement is provisional, created specifically for this period of intense mobility.
How to Obtain and Present the Printed AEVM
For supporters travelling specifically to attend AFCON 2025, the AEVM request is made directly through the “YALLA” application, developed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. The app connects match tickets, fan profiles and travel authorisation in one simple path.
For all other travel purposes, tourism, business, family visits or general stays, the AEVM must be requested via the official portal acces-maroc.ma, at least 96 hours before departure.
Certain travellers are exempt from the AEVM requirement, including:
- holders of diplomatic, service, special or official passports
- residents holding a valid Moroccan residence card
- passengers in airport transit zones
- spouses of Moroccan nationals (with proof)
- travellers aged 55 and above
After receiving the AEVM, travellers must print the document and present it upon arrival in Morocco. This detail, confirmed by Royal Air Maroc, ensures faster processing at border checkpoints and keeps the travel experience aligned with the spirit of AFCON 2025.
With this step completed early, supporters can focus entirely on the warmth of Morocco’s welcome and the electric atmosphere the tournament will bring.
